GCAPP (Guilford Coalition on Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention) is a
local, countywide membership organization that focuses on the issues
of adolescent pregnancy, pregnancy prevention and adolescent parenting.
Members include educators, healthcare providers, human service providers,
faith based organization representatives, program administrators, policy-makers,
parents and adolescents from the community.

- 74% of North Carolina high school seniors
report having sexual intercourse at least once.
- 50% of men who impregnate a minor teen (under
age 18) are 3 or more years older.
- In North Carolina 1 in 4 sexually experienced
teens acquires a sexually transmitted infection
Teen Pregnancy Facts
971 girls age 15-19 in Guilford County became pregnant in 2006 (rate 56.1 per 1,000). 28.2% were repeat pregnancies.
